Code of Conduct STATIM

1) Intention and objectives

The purpose of the STATIM Code of Conduct is to set the minimum standards for practice of anyone who is employed, works with, or represents the business. The Code is supported by the Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses in Australia and the Code of Ethics for Nurses in Australia

2) Purpose and Impact Statement

STATIM’s primary objective is to deliver a holistic, innovative and nimble workforce solution within healthcare.

Attainment of our purpose, will ensure clinicians and facilities are supported, respected, and partnered with, to deliver the most optimal patient- and resident-centred care.

3) Values

Our values reflect who and what we want to be as a business. They provide a point of reference to influence behaviour in all contexts and are based on the paradigm of human dignity and respect.

4) Behaviours and Conduct

STATIM believes the behaviours and conduct of any person who represents the business, is a direct reflection of the underpinning values. We believe quality care delivery, and patient and resident satisfaction can only be obtained if behaviours are optimised. At STATIM we commit to the following behaviours:

  • All interactions with any other person uphold the values of the organisation
  • Compliance with all local, state and Commonwealth laws and regulations within the region and Facility which the individual is practicing. Employees are required to abide by any Facility-based policies, procedures and guidelines while practicing
  • Privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times. During the day to day requirements of roles – and engagement within various facilities – sensitive information will be acquired and handled. It is the obligation of the business and individual to ensure this information is not misused, per relevant state and Commonwealth legislation and Privacy laws.
  • Proactive maintenance of clinical competency and acting within defined scopes of practice to deliver safe, person-centred care
  • Promote and preserve the trust and privilege inherent in the relationship between the healthcare profession, the people receiving care and the broader community
  • Proactive and obligatory reporting of any convicted criminal offence by employees or individuals interacting with STATIM
  • Zero tolerance of any fraud, theft or corruption
  • Accountability to attend shifts and meetings punctually, and report all absences as soon as practicable
  • Maintain and respect the diversity and differences in opinion, cultures and people engaged with STATIM and its clients and contribute to a working environment which is fair, transparent and free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, victimisation or any other unacceptable offensive conduct
  • Proactive, respectful investigation and management in any disclosure of conflict, complaint, or dispute. STATIM treats all escalated concerns as important and will handle these fairly and in a consistent, dignified, professional manner with all parties involved
  • Ensure a professional image is maintained by taking pride in the STATIM uniform and wearing this with a high standard of personal presentation; always dressing neatly, cleanly and compliant with PPE and infection control standards
  • Commit to providing and contributing to a work environment that is safe, mitigates risk and promotes employee wellbeing. Ensures working environments are compliant with relevant legislation and provide training to employees, promoting the safety of self and others, and helping employees understand their contribution and accountability to same
  • Proactive disclosure of any potential or realised Conflict of Interest of its employees or clients, which may divide our duties or responsibilities from our primary role with STATIM
  • Respect and commit to the judicious use of resources which will help minimise the impact on our material waste, financial waste, personal impact or environmental impact
  • Promote a smoke-free work environment, and ensure smoking is only undertaken in designated smoking areas of Facilities, with understanding STATIM healthcare professionals provide care to those who are likely unwell or vulnerable. STATIM will also support any employee or client in their individual effort to quit smoking
  • Not partaking in or consuming alcohol and other drugs which would adversely affect the capacity to deliver care or compromise the safety and wellbeing of patients, residents or colleagues either before or during attended any work or work-related event
